Brand new for Spring 2018, the Alpinestars Limited Edition Schwantz Supertech R Boots were designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Kevin Schwantz’s World Championship title.

Alpinestars Limited Edition Schwantz Supertech R Boots – MSRP $499.95

Made of microfiber and synthetic leather, the Supertech R is both light and durable. A new front flex area made up of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and mesh provides a more breathable and comfortable fit. This new construction is more abrasion resistant than the original version.

The sole of the boot is made out of lightweight rubber that is flexible for when the rider changes positions. Additionally, the boot contains a replaceable, co-injected TPU/aluminum toe slider for added toe protection. The protective polymer heel plate slider is also replaceable.

The Supertech R has accordion microfiber stretch in both the Achilles and the top of the boot, making it easy to put on and take off. The boot is equipped with both a TPU zipper and a Velcro tab to ensure the boot stays closed during use. It also features a micro-adjustable ratchet top closure for a safe and precise fit.

A completely removable inner ankle brace provides protection to the side and back of the foot. 3D mesh material wicks moisture, keeping feet cool and dry.

These boots are CE certified to EN 13634:2010 standards.

Arai Corsair-X Schwantz 93 Helmet

Kevin Schwantz, American former World Champion motorcycle road racer, won the 500cc (now MotoGP) World Championship in 1993. The Arai Corsair-X Schwantz 93 Helmet features a red, white and blue color scheme, with bold lines that wrap around the helmet.

Arai Corsair-X Schwantz 93 Helmet: Shell

The new PB SNC2 Shell of the Corsair-X is 30% lighter than its predecessor, the Corsair-V. This is greatly attributed to the synthetic fibers and special resin formula that Arai has developed. Arai has not abandoned their special R75 shell shape, however. A lightweight, aerodynamic, and protective helmet is very sought after by racers, and Arai certainly has delivered.

Arai Corsair-X Schwantz 93 Helmet: Ventilation

One of the biggest changes with this helmet is the upgraded ventilation system. The top/center vent allows around 11% more airflow than the Corsair-V did. All of the vents on the new Corsair-X are easier to adjust with gloves, as well as more durable and longer.

Another significant change is the new “Variable Axis System” (VAS). The VAS has a variable axis (moving pivot point) allowing the shield to open and close, even with the 24mm lower shield mount position.

The interior of the Corsair-X not only provides protection and comfort, but also does a great job keeping you cool. The plush lining in combination with the ventilation system wicks sweat away and helps keep you a comfortable temperature. The interior is made of Eco Pure material, which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption.

5mm peel away ear pockets on the Corsair-X allow riders room for a communication system. Per customers’ requests, Arai lowered the chin bar by 3mm for extra comfort (great for riders that use a microphone) and upgraded the chin curtain and neck roll to help block out unwanted noise and help improve ventilation.

The Corsair-X comes with a VAS V MV Shield, which is a clear anti-fog Pinlock shield. There are several tinted shield options available for purchase as well. The Arai Corsair-X Schwantz 93 Helmet is both 2015 Snell and DOT certified.

Aldo Drudi is a world-famous designer, known for his work on MotoGP racers’ helmets and leathers. Drudi has designed gear for racers such as Kevin Schwantz, Valentino Rossi, and Marc Marquez. The Italian designer created the “Statement” graphic specially for the Corsair-X. The design is simple yet eye catching, featuring clean lines and blocks of color. It is available in both red/white/blue and black/red/white color schemes.

The Vector-2 is the perfect helmet for the rider that wants all of the protection of an Arai at a lower cost. Its Complex Laminate Construction (CLC) is durable, protective, and lightweight. The multi-density EPS liner in this helmet helps aid in energy absorption upon impact. The Vector-2 has that smooth, organic shell shape that Arai prides themselves in, providing a helmet that better manages impact energy in a crash.

The ventilation system that is built into the Vector-2 is unlike any other. An Arai exclusive brow vent face shield ventilation system allows for air to flow into the helmet without having holes drilled into the shell or liner, insuring the integrity of the helmet is not compromised. The dual pivot chin vent, side exhaust ports, front intake vent, and rear vent/wing all work together with the brow vent system to ensure comfortable air flow and heat removal.

The interior liner of the Vector-2 is completely removable, washable, and replaceable. Additionally, the cheek pads can be removed in 5mm increments to achieve a perfect fit.

Like the Corsair-V, the Vector-2 has excellent peripheral view, 5mm on each side to be exact.
