BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 14, 2016) — The Honda Superbike Showdown of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park was filled with mixed emotions for Riders Discount/Tuned Racing. Rider Bryce Prince swept in both Superstock 600 races, taking the top spot on the podium Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately Jason Aguilar suffered a highside in the last corner during Friday’s free practice two, causing a broken foot and severe hip bruising.

Prince now carries a 93 point lead to round six of the Superstock 600 Championship.

“Barber was a great weekend for us,” said Prince. “We played with bike setup on the first day and found a few different options for qualifying. We were able to put down some fast laps and get pole position. In both races we were able to get a great start and I put my head down to try and gap the rest of the field. We were able to stretch out a lead in both races and just managed the gap in both of them. I cannot thank my crew enough for all of their hard work. We now have a great chance at wrapping up the championship in Utah, and are looking forward to the next race in two weeks.”

Aguilar will undergo surgery on his foot sometime this week. It is still unknown when he will be able to return to the competition.

“I went from third in the first practice at Barber to having a big highside in the last corner, breaking my foot and bruising my hip really bad,” said Aguilar. “I can’t thank Arai and Speed and Strength enough for keeping me safe. I was feeling good this weekend coming off of two podiums, and am devastated to have this happen to me. I’m sorry to my Riders Discount/Tuned Racing team who have been working hard to give me such a great bike lately. I am having surgery this week and will see when I am healthy enough to return.”

HOLLAND, Mich. (June 9, 2016) — After a successful weekend at Road America, Riders Discount/Tuned Racing is heading to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama for the Honda Superbike Showdown of Alabama. Both riders had good performances at Barber last year, with Jason Aguilar taking third place for race one and Bryce Prince taking second place for race two. Prince currently carries a 65 point lead in the Superstock 600 Championship.

“I’m very happy to be going to Barber this weekend,” said Prince. “It is a very fun track and I have a lot of experience there. Last year went well for us at Barber, and we are looking forward to running up front this weekend. We currently have a solid lead in the championship after Road America and we are now looking forward to extending it further this weekend!”

Jason Aguilar took another podium at Road America, securing the third spot alongside his teammate for race two. Aguilar hopes to build on that success this weekend at Barber.

“Only a couple days break and we already get to go racing again; I couldn’t be more excited,” said Aguilar. “Barber is an extremely beautiful and fun track so I’m really looking forward to getting out there on Friday. My Riders Discount/Tuned Racing team went straight to Barber from Road America, and have been working very hard these past couple weeks. ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (June 7, 2016) — Riders Discount/Tuned Racing took three more podiums this weekend at Road America. Rider Bryce Prince finished second in Superstock 600 race one. Race two saw Prince finish at the top of the podium while teammate Jason Aguilar took the third spot on the podium. Prince now carries a 65 point lead to round five of the Superstock 600 Championship.

“I couldn’t be happier with how our weekend at Road America went,” said Prince. “It was very nice to meet all of the Quicksilver staff and have their support. We were excited to have Brian and TJ from Riders Discount as well. We were able to get a phenomenal bike setup and out in a great lap to qualify first! On Saturday we had a half dry, half wet race. I rode well in the mixed conditions and was up front the whole time. I led almost every lap but was beaten to the line, and ended up taking second place. On Sunday I got a great start and rode a very good pace. I led most of the race and on the last lap pushed the bike as much as I could to take the victory. We now have a 65 point lead going into Barber which is one of my favorite tracks!”

Rider Jason Aguilar had a strong race two, securing the last spot on the podium next to his teammate. Aguilar is looking forward to continuing this success at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama this weekend.

“This past weekend at Road America was a great weekend for myself and the team,” said Aguilar. “I was able to qualify third and ended up with a third place finish in race two. I was also very happy to see my teammate, Bryce, podium in both races with a win on Sunday and a huge championship points lead. I was a little disappointed I didn’t have the pace I did in qualifying for the second race. If I was able to run my qualifying times I could have battled for the win. I’m still happy with the third place and we’ll make improvements to go one step further at Barber Motorsports Park this weekend. I can’t thank my team enough, especially my mechanics Blair and Paul for all their hard work making sure I have a great bike underneath me. Without my team none of this would be possible and I’m excited to start seeing more improvements. HOLLAND, Mich. (June 2, 2016) — This weekend Riders Discount/Tuned Racing is heading to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for the Honda Superbike Showdown of Wisconsin. Rider Bryce Prince took two podiums in Virginia, third and first respectively. Prince currently carries a 33 point lead in the Superstock 600 Championship, and hopes to further the gap in Wisconsin.

“I’m very excited to be heading to Road America this weekend,” said Prince. “After having a great time at the Mercury Headquarters with Quicksilver Powersports Lubricants, we are even more excited to have their support at Road America. I really love the track, and after extending our points lead at VIR we are looking to do the same in Wisconsin!”

Rider Jason Aguilar had a successful weekend in Virginia, securing the third spot on the podium alongside his teammate in race two. Aguilar hopes to carry this momentum into the weekend at Road America.
