Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing went to New Jersey Motorsports Park with podium hopes for Cameron Beaubier. Cameron, who has been fighting for top-three positions all season long, wanted to end it all with a number one spot on the podium. After battling for the lead in both races, Cameron comes out of NJMP with third and fourth place finishes in race one and race two, respectively. This puts him in sixth place overall in the final Daytona SportBike Championship standings. Having started the season with a home-built Yamaha YZF-R6 and the support of a few sponsors, it’s hard to believe that he was up front battling for the lead at a track he’d never seen. Everyone at Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing had a fantastic time watching him fight for the lead all the way to the end!
Cameron Beaubier – “The weekend went pretty well for me. I learned the track pretty quick and qualified second. I was really hoping for a win this weekend because I felt really confident going into the races. I came out of the weekend with a podium, which I’m very happy with getting at a new track. I got to lead both races, which I haven’t really done before, so it was an overall improvement for my professional riding career last weekend. I can’t thank the Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing crew enough for this season, they really let me focus on my riding and it showed out on the track. I’d also like to give a big thanks to my dad and Jesse Koehler! I’m really looking forward to next season!”
Breeann Poland owner, Jake Holden Racing – “Considering he is a rookie in this class and had to cut his season short in 2010 due to a training injury, Cameron put in the ultimate fight when he wasn’t picked up by a team and had to run the first half on his own. To us, it seemed like the only logical choice was to bring him under the Jake Holden Racing canopy. Cameron has shown passion, talent and determination throughout the last two seasons and we are extremely proud of what he has accomplished in his young AMA Pro Racing career.”
Brian Gibson owner, RidersDiscount.com – “Cameron ran like a future world champion, running with the factory-backed pros on his own home-prepared equipment was a site to see. It was incredible to watch him learn the track as it was his first visit where he then proceeded to put himself on the front row of the grid. I’m positive Cameron will see the top spot on the podium, not only in AMA Pro, but also at the world level some time in the future.”
