Watch for Deer
For many areas the arrival of autumn means the rise in deer-automotive accidents. Factors such as crop harvesting, hunting, and mating season play a huge role in the movement of deer during fall. Take precautions such as avoiding riding at key movement times, usually dawn and dusk. If you must ride during these times, making sure you are constantly scanning the road for deer.
Dress for Success
Fall temperatures can be a gamble. The mornings and evenings tend to be cold, but the afternoons are often sunny and warm. If you plan on riding for a long period of time, dress in layers and pack rain gear in case you get caught in a storm.
