EvoTech Performance has recently released a no-drill frame slider option for the 2013-2014 675R. These frame sliders offer superior protection without the need to cut your fairings.

Secured in two mount locations versus one, this kit is less likely to damage the frame/motor in the event of a crash. Positioned for maximum protection and engineered from a high performance polymer that will sacrificially protect your bike, there is no doubt this is one of the best no-drill frame slider kits on the market today.

The CNC machined brackets are made from aircraft quality billet aluminum and finished in a black powder coat.

Installation is quite simple and can be completed in about 45 to 60 minutes. Comes complete with all mounting brackets and necessary hardware.

Features such as the vented external thermoplastic protection in the shoulder and elbow, internal GP style bio-armor in the elbow and forearm, offer the very best in protection.

Essentially the top half of their race replica suit, this jacket is not going to be your preferred jacket to go to the mall. This is an aggressively cut, race fit jacket made for spirited rides on your favorite road. A full 360 zip allows you to attach the optional GP Plus pants allowing you to take it to the track as well.

Available in black/white, and white/red.

The Alpinestars GP Tech Air leather jacket stays plenty cool on those hot summer rides with full perforation along the front panel and back panel. The jacket goes above and beyond with additional ventilation along the top of the GP hump and arms. Don’t worry, Alpinestars includes a removable windproof vest for the early morning or late evening rides.

As with their race suits, Alpinestars includes a foam back pad. We highly recommend adding the optional Alpinestars Bionic Race back protector that snaps in to the jacket itself. The jacket also includes pockets to add optional Alpinestars Bionic Chest inserts. Both are available from Riders Discount, be sure to ask about these optional additions when you place your order.

External thermoplastic protection

Plenty of ventilation with the Alpinestars GP Tech Air Jacket

More on the RS-1: The Bell RS-1 is a SNELL M2010 and DOT that sits in a sweet spot, both performance and price-wise. The sleek, aggressively shaped shell is made from a Kevlar/Fiberglass composite that makes it both strong and lightweight. The RS-1’s shell cuts a profile that is similar to that of the Bell Star, which results in an excellent aerodynamic balance that keeps buffeting to a minimum. Air also flows through the helmet very well. The Velocity Flow Ventilation system is adjustable and quietly keeps your head cool.

Internally, the Bell RS-1 is a comfortable place to be. The lining and cheek pads feel very plush on the skin, right out of the box. They also break in quickly. An Agion Antibacterial treatment helps keep things fresh, but the lining is fully removable and washable in case things get a bit too sweaty. The RS-1 comes with a clear NutraFog II anti-fog/anti-scratch shield, which is the same as the Star. The ClickRelease shield mechanism is also shared, making for shield changes that can be done in seconds. Be sure to ask about adding the popular Bell Transition shield to your order as well!

Brembo Radial Master Cylinders are found on the fastest bikes in the world because they’re powerful, reliable and built to exacting tolerances for consistent performance under a wide range of conditions. Brembo’s 19 RCS master cylinder is no exception. It offers the unique ability to change brake lever ratios from 19×20 (for power) to 19×18 (for feel) with a simple turn of the screw, something not possible on other Brembo brake master cylinders. The 19 RCS is manufactured using a combination of forge-casting and CNC-machining. Forged parts have a particular advantage over parts machined from billet when it comes to strength since the metal’s grain structure follows closely the shape of the part as it is pressed into its final form. After forging, the aluminum master cylinder blank is then machined to accept all of its hardware: banjo bolt, brake reservoir spigot, lever attachment and – most critical, the brake piston assembly. This multi-stage manufacturing process ensures both strength, through the forging process and precision via CNC finishing – both of which contribute to the master cylinder’s consistent, exacting performance that has made it the “must have” brake upgrade component.

Every Brembo 19 RCS master cylinder comes complete with a break-away lever for crash survivability, a dual-line banjo bolt and a micro-switch controller for street applications allowing you to activate the rear brake light without the need to buy a separate pressure-sensitive banjo bolt switch.

Team RidersDiscount.com #20 Sam Gaige returned to his winning ways over the weekend of 17-18 September, 2011 at Summit Point Raceway for the combined Northeast and Mid-Atlantic WERA Sportsman Series. The Rochester, New York native earned four wins on his Markbilt-prepared Yamaha YZF-R6 in cool conditions that were marked with a bit of peril and some unexpected changes in the weather too!

It all started off promising with weather predictions in the mid-60’s and no chance of rain. Evaluating notes from his last weekend at the West Virginia track, Gaige applied a few quick changes to his bike’s setup, installed a new clutch pack and added the Dunlop tires best suited for the anticipated weather. Arriving at the track early Saturday morning to sub-50°F air temps was expected, but then the rain came, and Sam chose to sit out practice. Without having any chance to evaluate his bike in practice, Sam went to his start position on the fifth row of the Heavyweight Expert Solo grid. After the green flag, Sam quickly made his way to the front on the still-drying track for a flag-to-flag victory. With one win in the bag and a bike handling impeccably, Gaige was ready for Sunday.

On Sunday, conditions were much the same, only without any precipitation. Gaige went to the line for his first race on the day, C SuperStock, looking to take another win. After a great start, coming into turn four on the second lap, his Yamaha starting shaking so violently that he immediately pulled off the track only to discover that the chain had wrapped itself around the rear sprocket! WERA officials quickly retrieved the bike and, having returned to the pits, Sam discovered that the countershaft sprocket had come off his bike! Luckily for him, the damage was only a pair of sprockets and a chain. With the issue addressed, Sam went on to convincing wins in B SuperStock, C SuperBike and B Superbike races. Along the way, only Brad Burns hounded Sam for a few laps in the last race before taking out a front-straight gap all the way to the checkered flag yet again.

Sam Gaige – “It was fun, I was riding really well and managed to set the fastest 600 lap of the weekend. I got there Saturday morning where it was a cool 48° and just as I was getting the bike ready it started to rain. Riding in the cold is one thing, but with the rain I decided to sit out practice along with the Middleweight Solo and do the Heavyweight Solo instead. For that race, the track never did dry completely and there were some sketchy patches out there, so I just built up a lead and held it to the end.

Sunday was better without the rain except for the chain coming off on the second lap of the C SuperStock race! I’m really lucky to walk away from that. The chain just wrapped itself around the rear sprocket and wore down some teeth. The crash truck got out there in no time, which allowed me to get everything fixed since nothing else was damaged. After that, the bike was great and it just worked perfectly for me. I’m really happy to come here and get a few wins on my Markbilt-prepared, Dunlop-shod Yamaha YZF-R6.”

Next up for Sam Gaige and Team RidersDiscount.com is the WERA Sportsman three-region event at Nelson Ledges Road Course in Warren, Ohio this coming weekend 24 & 25 September, 2011. Sam has had a great deal of success on the fast, flowing track where stability over the bumps is paramount for competitive lap times.

Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing went to New Jersey Motorsports Park with podium hopes for Cameron Beaubier. Cameron, who has been fighting for top-three positions all season long, wanted to end it all with a number one spot on the podium. After battling for the lead in both races, Cameron comes out of NJMP with third and fourth place finishes in race one and race two, respectively. This puts him in sixth place overall in the final Daytona SportBike Championship standings. Having started the season with a home-built Yamaha YZF-R6 and the support of a few sponsors, it’s hard to believe that he was up front battling for the lead at a track he’d never seen. Everyone at Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing had a fantastic time watching him fight for the lead all the way to the end!

Cameron Beaubier – “The weekend went pretty well for me. I learned the track pretty quick and qualified second. I was really hoping for a win this weekend because I felt really confident going into the races. I came out of the weekend with a podium, which I’m very happy with getting at a new track. I got to lead both races, which I haven’t really done before, so it was an overall improvement for my professional riding career last weekend. I can’t thank the Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing crew enough for this season, they really let me focus on my riding and it showed out on the track. I’d also like to give a big thanks to my dad and Jesse Koehler! I’m really looking forward to next season!”

Breeann Poland owner, Jake Holden Racing – “Considering he is a rookie in this class and had to cut his season short in 2010 due to a training injury, Cameron put in the ultimate fight when he wasn’t picked up by a team and had to run the first half on his own. To us, it seemed like the only logical choice was to bring him under the Jake Holden Racing canopy. Cameron has shown passion, talent and determination throughout the last two seasons and we are extremely proud of what he has accomplished in his young AMA Pro Racing career.”

Brian Gibson owner, RidersDiscount.com – “Cameron ran like a future world champion, running with the factory-backed pros on his own home-prepared equipment was a site to see. It was incredible to watch him learn the track as it was his first visit where he then proceeded to put himself on the front row of the grid. I’m positive Cameron will see the top spot on the podium, not only in AMA Pro, but also at the world level some time in the future.”

Team RidersDiscount.com and Jake Holden Racing have been waiting over a month to get back on the AMA Pro Road Racing grid for the final round of the season at New Jersey Motorsports Park. After Cameron’s fight for the win at Laguna Seca was cut short by a red flag, the team is off to make way for the front yet again! Cameron has never been to the track before, so it’s going to be a new challenge for the team to set up the machine for the technical Thunderbolt course. But challenges are what racing is all about and even though hardship seems like it’s been a mainstay of Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing all season long, nobody is backing down for the last run of the year.

Cameron wants to get back to the front for another crack at a number one finish. Since Laguna Seca, he’s been working on his A-game playing in the dirt and even putting in a few trackdays for good measure. The fact P1 has eluded the team all season only serves as extra motivation to get the job done this weekend. There are only two more chances left to put it on top of the podium and everyone at Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing is ready to do battle!

Cameron Beaubier – “Over the break, I spent time with some friends, rode mini bikes and have been cycling a lot to keep fit. I also rode a stock Yamaha YZF-R6 out at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Northern California a couple times at trackdays just to stay riding during the long break. I’m really looking forward to the final round. I’ve never ridden at New Jersey Motorsports Park, but I’ve heard it’s an awesome track! I flew out Wednesday for New Jersey and I’m feeling good and I’m ready to race!“

Breaann Poland, owner Jake Holden Racing – “The team is more than ready to head to NJMP for the final round of the 2011 AMA Pro Road Racing Championship. Cameron had a strong showing at the last round at Laguna Seca for his best finish of the season. He’s ready to push for the number one spot on the podium! It has been a pleasure working with him over the last few rounds and I would love to see another podium run! The team has really pulled together this year to make things happen, a Cinderella story of sorts. Nothing would make myself, and the team happier than to finish out the season on a high note. I want to show all the sponsors, the fans – everyone who stepped up to help us this season a good result at New Jersey Motorsports Park. I had doubts about even making it to the first round after we lost our title sponsor but we made it and we’re going all-out for the last event!”

Brian Gibson, owner RidersDiscount.com – “In some ways, the layoff has felt like a long pause in the action, but it’s allowed everyone to prepare for the last race of the year. Cameron has only ridden a bone-stock R6 since Laguna, so he’s eager to go at it on a full racer. We’re really excited to see the team back in action this weekend and despite the way the season has gone, we’re proud to be a part of Jake Holden Racing and look to NJMP with great enthusiasm!”

In what was shaping up to be a fantastic weekend for Team RidersDiscount.com and Jake Holden Racing, it was a truly mixed bag of fortunes. Cameron Beaubier vindicated his bad luck from last year with a second place finish in Daytona SportBike while Jake Holden required a stay in the hospital. The weekend started off well for both riders in the Daytona SportBike class. Cameron put his Yamaha YZF-R6 at the head of the second row in qualifying while Jake’s Ducati 848 EVO was less than a second off pole with the sixth fastest time. Holden had his work cut out for him doing double duty for his highly anticipated return to the American SuperBike class on the RidersDiscount.com BMW S1000RR. And even with his limited experience riding the bike, the team was able to give Jake a setup that was good enough for eighth fastest overall late in qualifying.

In Sunday’s Daytona SportBike race, it all came apart for Jake Holden. A close pass by Dane Westby in the Andretti Hairpin put Jake on the ground where he was run over by another rider who had no where to go. The crash red-flagged the race and Jake required a trip the hospital with two broken ribs and a lacerated spleen. Doctors noted that, thanks to Jake’s excellent physical condition, there would likely be no long-term issues as a result of his injuries. Worst of all, Jake didn’t get a chance to run in the American SuperBike class at Laguna.

In an odd twist, it was this crash that gave teammate Cameron Beaubier the break he needed to redress the bad start he got on the first green flag. Cameron took full advantage of the restart where he soon hounded first, race leader DiSalvo and then made his way to the front. But he was only able to lead one lap before Danny Eslick and took the lead. With the laps winding down, Cameron planned on biding his time but then a second red flag ended the race before he wanted to make his attack, forcing him to a second place finish.

Jake Holden – “I was super excited to ride the RD BMW S1000RR at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca after testing it with the RidersDiscount.com guys. First session out, I was seventh quickest, right behind Larry Pegram on what was, pretty much a stock BMW compared to his! The Ducati 848 EVO was feeling pretty good and though we qualified in sixth, I had more in me for sure. Right before qualifying, we threw some new forks in the RidersDiscount.com BMW and picked up six-tenths on the track, so that put us in eighth overall. That placed us right next to the Foremost Insurance BMW which was the only S1000RR that was faster than us.

As it turned out, Sunday was just not my day. We had some small issues with the motorcycles that left me with no warm up time. I knew my Ducati could put me on the podium on the race track where I had my first AMA career win. I got a good start running around fifth place. And then going into turn two I was clipped on the inside by another racer and that put me on the pavement. After that, another racer ran into the back of my body.

Now, I have two broken ribs and a small puncture in my spleen. There’s also a little fluid in my left lung. It’s been a year of highs and lows but I have to thank my crew, all my sponsors and RidersDiscount.com for sticking with me. Everyone has been working so hard to make things happen and with all this support, it’s helped us keep up the fight!”

Cameron Beaubier – “We were struggling in Friday practice with a number of things, but the team got it worked out for qualifying where we finished fourth fastest overall. I had a bad start but we got another chance after Jake’s unfortunate red flag. In the second start, we shuffled around a bit on the first lap and then made a push to get up there with DiSalvo. I passed Herrin and then got DiSalvo going into the last corner but then Eslick made a pass on me going into the second corner. I hung on the back of Eslick and we pulled away a little from DiSalvo. I just wanted to wait for the laps to wind down to make a move but then another red flag came out. I am super happy with second place here though, and I can’t thank everyone at Jake Holden Racing and RidersDiscount.com enough! Now I’m just looking forward to the last race at New Jersey Motorsports Park in September.”

Breeann Poland, team owner – “This season has been an interesting one
to say the least. First, we lost our title funding and through the help of our fans, existing sponsors and RidersDiscount.com – we’ve been able to keep going. Unfortunately, luck hasn’t been on Jake’s side this year. I was hoping that this weekend would be different. After some minor adjustments on both Jake’s and Cameron’s bikes, we looked as though we could’ve had some good results for both of our riders. Jake’s crash was a hard one for him and everyone rooting for him throughout the paddock. I was excited to see him ride the RidersDiscount.com BMW S1000RR in the American SuperBike class but it just wasn’t in the stars for us. I am hoping for a speedy recovery for Jake and maybe he will get the chance to race at the final round in New Jersey! Cameron is looking for a win now that he has the team and sponsors like RidersDiscount.com behind him. I am sure that it can happen!”

Brian Gibson, owner RidersDiscount.com – “It was a challenging weekend for the entire team on two fronts. First, we are ecstatic to see Cameron on the box yet again and at the same time, saddened to see Jake’s weekend spoiled before the first lap of the DSB race was completed. He didn’t even get a chance to run in American SuperBike, but at least he has a lot of time to get back to fitness for the last race of the year at New Jersey Motorsports Park. It was a blast watching Cameron hound Eslick and it looked as though we had something for Danny but the red flag again cut it all short for us. Still, we couldn’t be happier with his performance on the track. Now we’ve got a few weeks to go before the last race of the 2011 AMA season where Cameron has a chance to finish third overall in his first year in DSB. And after the way Laguna worked out for Jake, we want him to have another crack at the throttle so he can cap off a roller coaster year with some good results.”

With a long lay off between Laguna Seca and the final race of the year, Jake Holden Racing and Team RidersDiscount.com have plenty of time to analyze everything that happened last weekend in preparation for the next event. At this time, it’s up to Jake to see if he’s ready to ride in time for NJMP. Cameron, on the other hand wants another shot at getting his first DSB win in New Jersey.

Team RidersDiscount.com and Jake Holden Racing are excited to get on the grid for another action-packed weekend in the Daytona SportBike class at Laguna Seca. With the recent addition of Cameron Beaubier to the Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing garage, there will now be two bikes in RidersDiscount.com colors on the AMA DSB grid. And, to make things especially exciting for everyone, Jake is making his return to the AMA’s premier American Superbike class this coming weekend!

After testing both of the RidersDiscount.com-built and prepared Superbikes; the Yamaha YZF-R1 and the BMW S1000RR – Jake has decided that the BMW will be better suited to Laguna’s undulated and technical layout. His decision comes after two days of testing at Grattan Raceway and Gingerman Raceway, which are both a quick drive from the RidersDiscount.com headquarters. Each track provides a different emphasis on setup and after many laps riding both bikes, it was determined that, at least for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, that the RidersDiscount.com BMW S1000RR would be the machine of choice.

Jake Holden: “At first, I was really focused on the Yamaha YZF-R1 because I’ve ridden one – Ben Bostrom’s, and I really liked it, so I was just going into this test thinking that I’d be racing the Yamaha at Laguna Seca. But I gave in and wanted to do a couple laps on the BMW just to say I did it. I got on it and the package on that bike is really impressive, it just suits my riding style — I feel really comfortable on the bike. You can’t even really feel the electronics working, it just keeps the bike in line and I think it’s going to be a good package for Laguna Seca.

Last year at Laguna, I filled in for John Hopkins on the Monster M4 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and I led maybe a lap or two there and I felt pretty confident in myself. Now, I feel confident in going back there on the RidersDiscount.com BMW S1000RR. Hopefully, we can make some noise and spray some champagne!”

Cameron Beaubier: “I’m super excited to be going into Laguna Seca knowing that RidersDiscount.com is supporting me. I’ve seen how well Jake Holden Racing and RidersDiscount.com have worked together and I’m happy to be a part of it. Laguna is my home track, so my family and friends will be there. I crashed there last year in the SuperSport event, so I’m looking to redeem myself this coming weekend!”
