Road America was a different experience for me this year because I found myself on a different side of things, for the first time that I can remember I was at an AMA pro race and not actually racing. So to ease the pain a little from not racing, I offered to help out Brian Gibson from ridersdiscount.com who was racing in the supersport class for the weekend. Everything went fairly smooth for the most part. Brian and the bike got better with every session ending the weekend with his fastest time in race 2 and with more tracktime, we would have dropped even more time. So all and all it was a fun weekend, I definitely have a lot more respect for the mechanics and crew chiefs but I’m ready to get back to what I’m good at, riding the bikes!
